It started with a simple idea: listen first.
Everything else grows from there.
The best spaces make us feel something. They leave us speechless. They make us feel inspired, safe, sentimental, or completely at ease. To me, that's what great design is really about—not creating something that's simply beautiful, but creating something people genuinely connect with.
One signature style was never the goal. I don't want people to walk into a space and think, "this looks like a kalo project." I'd rather they feel like the space couldn't have been designed any other way.
That's where every project begins.
Every place has something to teach us, and every client brings a different story. Before making design decisions, I want to understand how people live, what matters to them, and what already makes that place special. That's where the most meaningful ideas usually begin.
At the end of the day, I don't want to create spaces that simply look beautiful. The best spaces make me feel something. That's the kind of experience I hope to create for other people.

Concept Package
The starting point for each project is a concept-driven approach. Clients receive 2-3 clear design directions that explore layout, materials, and overall feeling-providing a clear foundation to move forward with confidence.

Expanded Design
The selected direction can then be developed into a more detailed design phase, including plans, sourcing, and refined visualizations. This phase builds on the initial concept, adding depth and specificity where needed.

Ongoing Guidance
For clients who want continued support, I remain involved through execution-offering guidance and helping ensure the design is carried through as intended.
KALO is designed to work with clients globally, while grounding each project in its local context.
Wherever possible, the goal is to use materials, references, and resources that reflect the region the space exists in-rather than applying a one-size-fits-all aesthetic.
Technology can support this process by helping identify local vendors and materials, allowing each project to feel more connected and practical to its environment.
The result is a space that feels considered, specific, and rooted in place-while still maintaining a cohesive overall point of view.
