LOTW & Challenge: Lift a Team Member
Good Morning and Happy Friday!
It’s Stacy here and I hope everyone had a great week and is looking forward to a nice and relaxing weekend!
Today I not only have this week’s LOTW but I also have a challenge for everyone. First though, let’s check out this week’s LOTW.
Layout of the Week
This week’s layout of the week is by Angela. She used my County Fair kit to scrap a few of the gorgeous photographs she took of her family at the fair. Just look at those happy and excited little faces!
Since Angela is on my creative team, I thought if would be fun to ask her a few questions and get to know her a bit more.
Q: Tell us a little about you!
A: I am a SAHM. I have 2 boys, 3 if you count the hubby, which I do. I live in Florida and have for pretty much all my life. Obviously I love scrapping, but I also like to cook. We own our own business so that we can have a more open schedule so we can be there more for our kids.
Q: How long have you been scrapping?
A: Hmmm. I dabbled in paper scrapping when my youngest was born 5 years ago. I liked the idea of scrapping, but didn’t like the mess. I’m not one of the lucky ones who have a whole room dedicated to creating. So jealous of you guys. I started dabbling in digital about 2 years ago, give or take. I liked it a lot, but got really frustrated with it because I didn’t know how to use Photoshop. I knew what I wanted to do on my layout but just couldn’t figure out how to do it. Then about a year ago I decided I wasn’t going to let Photoshop beat me and I started looking for every tutorial I could get my hands on. Finally about 8 months ago it clicked and I haven’t stopped since. I am totally an addict and proud of it.
Q: Did you start with paper and then move to digital?
A: Yes, but ironically I love to do paper to digital challenges. Go figure.
Q: What is your favorite part of a kit to scrap with, and why?
A: That is a really tough question. It all depends on my mood and the mood the kit puts me in. I really like stitches, because they always add a nice little extra touch and you can use them with pretty much any kind of kit. I like clusters too. You can put them pretty much anywhere in your layout and they look great. Okay one more, the paper. If you have good paper you can make pretty much anything you want to with it. Frames, alpha, shapes, blocking behind a photo. See I told you that was a really tough question.
Q: What is your favorite layout you’ve created? (Warning: Gorgeous layouts below!)
A: I couldn’t just pick one. lol
