Update and New Releases This Week

Sometimes I swear our boys are wise beyond their years.

Last weekend I reprocessed some photos to hang on our walls at home and one of the photos was of the boys in their baptism outfits. Kaden looked at me and said ‘What’s that Mama?’ I told him that photo was from when he and Logan were baptized two years ago. He then proceeded to explain to me “Mama, that’s so we can go to heaven and see Jesus”. My jaw dropped!

We talk about death, Jesus and heaven a lot at our house especially since we put our Rottweiler down last month. I didn’t really think about it until a friend of mine mentioned she hasn’t ever talked about anything death related with her daughter, who is a bit older than our boys. She mentioned with the fish the kids have, they do the quick run to the store to swap the good one with the bad one so the kids don’t find out. The only problem with us trying to do that with our Rottweiler was it would have been a bit hard to swap a 130 lb dog. LOL! The boys really had no other chance but to learn about life and death at such a young age. For our boys, I think this was a good thing.

It’s sad to say we don’t get to church very often right now. The boys are at an age where it is so difficult for them to sit through a service quietly. Usually a service includes some giggling, laughter and just plain mischief from our area and we hate to disrupt others at church.

We try to make up for that loss with our own teachings at home which include lots of Veggietale’s movies, other religious shows/cartoons and some good books. I love to hear the boys talk and ask questions about Jesus, life and death. Though we don’t make it to church very often I am so happy they understand so much about life at their young age.

Where Did The Time Go?

Once again it’s busy, busy, busy over here in my little designing world. Not only is it a crazy busy summer with the boys, but I am also working on completing extractions for two designers who have purchased my services, gearing up for Christmas In July which begins on the 15th and trying to find the time to work on the next Blog Train Blog train. Whew! I have been so sad that I haven’t had as many freebies on my blog lately, and I am trying to find a way to change that.

I really miss designing freebies for my blog so one of the things I am going to do is suspend my unlimited extraction service for the rest of the summer. The current services that have been purchased are open through the end of August but after that I will be done. I will reopen the unlimited service once summer is over and things have calmed down a bit.

You won’t want to miss the Christmas In July event at Divine Digital. There will be daily visits from Santa, challenges, hybrid goodies, lots of Christmas gifts, a holiday bash and door prizes. I will be hosting three challenges throughout the event; a Quick Page Exchange, Wish List Challenge and a Remembering Christmas Challenge.
