Score One For The Pink Team – FINALLY!!!

It has been a weekend full of emotions at our house, from extreme glee, to doubt, to disappointment and tears and then back to extreme glee once again. What in world could bring an entire household to experience all these emotions? Why the hunt for the perfect puppy of course.

We had been working on adopting the cutest little boxer mix named Sasha for a couple of weeks. We had briefly met her a couple of times but not long enough to really get to know her. Friday evening she was brought to live with us and we were so excited. The boys were so excited to have a new puppy in the house they began running around, bumped heads and Logan ended up with a huge black eye.

Getting to know her a bit more and being able to look over her paper work a bit more we began to realize she had no boxer in her whatsoever. She was a full pit bull. Now I am one that is all for a vicious breed. My sweet Rottweiler we just lost is a vicious breed. I 100% believe it’s not the dog who is born vicious but the owner who made him vicious.

As the weekend wet on, we began to notice a few undesirable traits with her. Zeppy our Dalmatian was very uncomfortable around her. When our Hannah kitty came up to her, she instantly lunged and snapped. Saturday night, we made the decision to return her to the rescue group we received her from and on Sunday they picked her up.

We began the puppy hunt again on Sunday. We are firm believers that everything happens for a reason and once again we think it did. Looking at agencies online we found a 9 week old Brindle Boxer puppy. This little girl is so adorable it’s ridiculous.

We took a ride Monday night to go meet her to see if she is a good fit. She was great with the boys, really didn’t care anything about the cats in the room around us and is such a sweet girl.

When we brought her home, Zeppy had a totally different demeanor with her than the pit bull puppy. He was not uncomfortable with her at all and is so interested in her. She’s already met our Hannah kitty and could care less about her which is perfect. I think we’ve found the perfect match.
